Laces or no laces? The adidas Superstar has crossed generations and maintained its presence in sneaker culture since 1969 when it launched as a basketball sneaker. Once Run DMC slipped their feet in Superstars, the "shell-toe" reached new heights and became synonymous with the legendary Queens rap group and hip-hop culture. When most people think of adidas, it's the Superstar that comes to mind first.
